The wine region of Upper Hunter Valley is located in the region of Hunter of Nouvelle-Galles du Sud of Australia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Margan or the Domaine Small Forest by Atsuko produce mainly wines red, white and sweet. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Upper Hunter Valley are Chardonnay, Verdelho and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Upper Hunter Valley often reveals types of flavors of citrus fruit, black fruit or red fruit and sometimes also flavors of tropical fruit.
In the mouth of Upper Hunter Valley is a powerful. We currently count 4 estates and châteaux in the of Upper Hunter Valley, producing 14 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Upper Hunter Valley go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or spicy food.
